The Somar Eluma energy-efficient lighting was voted Best Green Innovation In Construction Products as part of the industry standard "Construction News" magazine's inaugural Green Awards in 2007. In his presentation speech, Tim Smit of the Eden Project said "the judges commented on the efficiency and sophistication of their product, and their innovative approach to significantly reducing energy consumption." Somar Eluma energy saving technology was also recognized in the Czech Republic in 2007 where it received LOG-IN Award for technology and innovation for the logistical/warehousing marketplace.
